Happy Saturday friends! That feels so weird to write because as you know, Saturdays are not normally the day I put up new blog posts. And I know on Monday I told you I’d be back here Wednesday but you guys then this week got crazy and to say I got behind is an understatement.
Tuesday was the last day of the month and as many of you know I have a “side hustle” with Monat and I was working toward a big goal that day that I’m happy to say, by the grace of God, I achieved! But in making sure I was getting everything done for that I didn’t have time to get this post up for you for Wednesday. And I got behind on a bunch of other things too and it just snowballed. I had intended this post for yesterday, but then decided to take yesterday to finally get caught up on things and push this back to today. So here we are. But, it worked out because J. Crew Factory is currently having a big sale right now so the timing is pretty perfect! Continue reading “J. CREW FACTORY TRY ON”→
Happy Friday friends! I hope everyone had a great week! Leyton had his 15 month check up yesterday which meant we were already out and about so I decided to hop over to the one outdoor mall here and do some browsing and I figured it was the perfect time for a Friday Finds! Is there anything more comfy/cozy on a cold day than a Sherpa pullover? I’m gonna go ahead and say no, especially on a Saturday when you are lounging around the house. Well, friends this one from Abercrombie & Fitch is the softest, Saturday, Sherpa, (say that 3 times fast) that you will be wearing on repeat this winter because it can be styled so many ways! And bonus, it comes in 5 different colors and is currently on sale for less than $50! Continue reading “SHERPA BUFFALO CHECK PULLOVER”→
Happy Thursday friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! It was a rainy one here, but we made the best of it for Leyton’s first Halloween! In case you missed it, here is our little Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (although he really looks more like a sailor or the Pillsbury Dough Boy haha). Hi Friends! J. Crew is having an awesome flash sale going to until 11:59 pm tonight so I figured what better time to share some of my recent J. Crew favorites as well as items from the flash sale that I’m loving.
Okay friends! The day is here!! The day all of us Nordstrom shoppers look forward too! The true Christmas in July event! THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE!!! (Insert the sound of sleigh bells and Andy Williams singing and snow falling from the ceiling as if you’re in the audience of The Ellen Show and she’s announcing her Christmas giveaways, because it’s THAT exciting!).
The “early access” sale opened up to cardholders yesterday so if you have a Nordstrom card, run over there now and get shopping! If not, have no fear, the sale opens to everyone on the 20th (you can add things to your cart in the meantime and then just check out on the 20th).
Also, don’t forget Nordstrom is free shipping and free returns and things sell out fast so if you are on the fence about something or are unsure of a size maybe get two, knowing you can return what doesn’t work.
The sale is filled with so many new fall/winter items not yet released and some great must have classics all up to 40% off. Sale ends for everyone August 5th.
Okay, I’ll stop talking and lets get to it…..Here are my favorite finds and everything I would have purchased had I won the lottery the night before. I asked you guys what you wanted to see and the overwhelming response was casual, everyday, affordable staples, so that’s what I have rounded up. You can click the pictures to check out each item. Also, several items come in different colors than what’s pictured. When you click on the picture and go to the item you’ll see other color options available. Happy shopping!
So many great finds with tops this year. I had such a hard time narrowing it down! All these pieces are great closest staples in my opinion. Whether it’s a comfy cardigan (I’m looking at you Barefoot Dreams), an easy tee, or slouchy sweater, any of these would be perfect for wearing around the house on a lazy day, or when you’re out and about and still want to look cute.
The denim this year is on point! So many great finds whether you want high end jeans or something more affordable. Also, if you’re looking for great leggings, the Zella live in high waisted leggings are A MUST! I own them and they are appropriately named because I do live in them all Fall/Winter long!
BP washed moto leggings (these have a little texture to them which I love because it just spices up leggings as much as you can. I have a similar pair and get some many compliments).
I had to reign myself in with the shoes this year! I kept telling myself, you have enough booties, you have enough booties, stop looking at booties! Normally the footwear doesn’t really get to me but this year it was my weakness!
Top 3 picks here are:
Blondo ankle boot (I have similar ones to these, but they are another brand, and they are hands down the number one thing I get compliments on over any shoe, outfit, accessory, etc.). These are showing in black but come in multiple colors.
Tory Burch Marsden flat sandal (comes in black, brown and ivory), and ballet flat (okay technically that’s two items, but anytime Tory Burch footwear is on sale I perk up because it’s not often, and her sandals and flats are the best! The flats come in blue (pictured) black, and pink.
Handbags are usually my total weakness with this sale, but this year I kept my control. All of these here were my favorites, and again anytime Tory Burch is on sale I run! Normally I’m loyal to Tory, and other brands in her price range don’t tempt me, but this Rebecca Minkoff hobo bag caught my eye this year (and was my birthday gift to myself – thanks to Nordstrom giftcards from family that I hadn’t used), but believe me I almost went with another Tory because can you ever have too many? The answer to that is yes, but shhh we don’t need that kind of negativity in our lives.
I’ll be honest, I tend to get so caught up in the clothing that I forget to look at and get any accessories (plus, I tend to wear my same watch and earrings, and I don’t often get too crazy with accessories), BUT here’s a few that caught my eye and are simple every day pieces to jazz up an outfit.
So there you have it! I’ll be sharing try on sessions on my Instagram (jillkoch620) once my order arrives. So stay tuned!
The Memorial Day sales have been so good you guys that I’ve had to dedicate more than one post to them! Earlier this week I talked the Nordstrom half-yearly sale (if you missed it, you can check it out here), and today I’m showing you a few of my favorite finds from the Loft Memorial Day sale. Everything is currently 40% off with the code: longwknd. As always click the links in text or pictures at the very bottom to shop.
They are so comfortable and lightweight. I went with my regular size, but I wore them some yesterday and could see how they might stretch over time. You could probably get away with sizing down, but I can’t stand to wear pants that are too tight so I went with my regular size and am hoping they don’t stretch too much and get too loose.
Also, this vintage soft tee is so vibrant and fun for summer! And I talked about this top below on my instastories. It’s from their Lou & Grey line and it’s soooo comfortable. I’m going to live in it this summer. It’s lightweight and open so it works outside in the heat, but it’s cozy enough to keep you warm inside when the AC makes it chilly. And, with the slits on the sides it’s very breastfeeding friendly. Jeans are from Target.
Next up is this top that can be worn so many different ways. It also comes in Navy.
I love it paired with the green denim or regular jeans and I’m loving white on white this summer! It’s such a crisp, clean look and you know I love me some clean style. Here’s the White jeans and here’s the sandal.
These are also super comfortable and true to size. You could probably size up one to get a little more length in the short but I worry it would make it too loose in the waist so I stuck with my regular size. What I love about shorts like these are that they can totally be dressed up for wearing outside of the house, or combined with a comfy top to be worn for lounging around the house. Here is the top .
And I didn’t buy this next top but I thought it was so cute for summer.
It looks like a heavy sweater but it’s actually very lightweight and definitely wearable for summer. I like it with the white denim but think it would be so cute with shorts too. It would also make a great beachy sweater for night time too.
These and some more of my favorites are below. Click the pictures to shop.
Hi friends! There are so many great Memorial Day sales going on right now and I figured I would share now so you have time to snag some items in time for the holiday! Yesterday I posted some of my top picks from the two day Abercrombie & Fitch sale going on now (40-60% off select items) – head to the “shop my looks” tab to see those. And today I’m taking you through my favorite selections from Nordstrom’s half-yearly sale. There were so many good finds! The sale lasts until June 3rd and items tend to sell out fast so if you’re really loving something I’d say pounce on it!
Now, for today I’m showing you all the great sale items I found for under $50. So let’s dive right in! Starting with tops. As always click the picture for more or link below.
Vince Camuto Stripe Top – This link is for a similar one. The one pictured above is already sold out. Fits true to size
Hi friends! Okay, first things first, who watched the royal wedding?? Ahh official pictures are being released and I’m reliving the fun all over again. I’ll admit this post was supposed to come out Saturday, but I had too much royal wedding excitement going on to focus on this, so it got pushed back to today.
It’s almost Memorial Day and while technically the first day of Summer is June 21st, I think I speak for most of us when I say, Memorial Day is the true Summer kick off! And I don’t know about you, but I am ready for it!! I finally have off this Memorial Day so I’ve already been planning what I should wear and thought I would share some of my finds. I’m doing a lot of blue and white because….patriotic. I’m also sharing some warm and cool looks because this Ohio weather be cray and we never know what we’re going to get. The best part is, most of these looks are inexpensive which is always a plus in my book. Okay, so here we go….as always click the link in the text or the shop-able pictures below to shop!
This outfit is just nice and simple and I have gotten so many compliments on this top, and you guys it’s from Target, and it’s less than $20! Now, I paired the top with high- waisted jeans, also from Target, because the top is a little short and looks great with them. Click here for another option. I’m loving the whole Universal Thread line right now! And the sandals can be found here. Similar necklace here.
Here are a few more looks, and you know I’m rocking the overalls this year. I’m loving this trend! Outfit details are below.
Option #1: Here is the shirt again, because it goes with everything. Overalls can be found here, and the sandals are from Old Navy. I can’t find a link online so here’s a similar pair. **(Side note – the overalls are pricey but they are great quality and I look at them as an investment piece that I’ll have for years).
