A BAJILLION WAYS TO….

A baJILLion Ways to....-1

Happy Friday friends!  The long awaited new series is here! So many times I find I want to share something but I’m like ahhh there’s a few ways to show this, what’s the best way?   For example, if I want to show several ways to wear a denim jacket in the spring, or a new trend, or even several things to do in one place, so thus this series was born.  Plus, you know I can’t resist a good play on words so the baJILLion ways was just too perfect.  I haven’t decided a timeline of how often I’ll do these, I’m in the process of brainstorming ideas and a lot depends on the little guy and my free time, but my hope for now is every other week or so.

Today I’m kicking off this series by showing you several ways to wear a hair scrunchie/scarf combo. So let’s get to it! If you follow me on Instagram (@_jillkoch_) you can watch the video tutorial on IGTV.

Also, I’m sure there are even more ways than what I came up with but here’s some ways I thought to wear it.

First up….the classic headband style. This is probably my favorite!

Next, I went half up/ half down….I don’t know about you but I don’t always want to do a ponytail but sometimes you just need the hair out of your face, so the headband style and this one are my favs.

But, for days when you want all your hair up, then nothing beats the cheerleader feel of a high pony, or the ease of a messy bun.  The scarf is the perfect way to dress up both.

I also weaved it in my hair and then pulled it up but of course forgot to get a picture. Here is a similar idea from Pinterest.

To do this I simply pulled my hair into a high pony and then split the ponytail into two sections.  I tied the scarf around the ponytail so two pieces hung down.  I then took each piece and wrapped it around each section.  Next, I took both section, grabbed them together and twisted them up and around to make a bun and placed another hair tie over top to hold it in place.

The one of the left (above) looks to be similar to mine.  The one on the right appears to be a different technique but same weaved idea.

Next, I did a low pony….

Followed by a down side pony and a down, to the side, low bun.

And keeping it to the side I did a simple braid, and a low messy bun in the back, both of which I also failed to get pictures of, but I’m sure you can picture it.  For the braid I used the scrunchie on the end to hold it and then tied the scarf into a bow on the end.

The low messy bun in the back is just like the picture above but straight back and not to the side.

Lastly, I ended by styling the scarf on a handbag as a fun way to dress it up.

And that’s really it! Just the many ways to get the most out of your purchase if you ever buy one. I got my checkered one from Pink Lily Boutique (it’s unfortunately no longer in stock) but I’m sure you can easily find similar options. It’s perfect for summer and gives you various ways to pull your hair back when trying to beat the heat.

Alright, friends. That’s it for this week. Enjoy the last few days of June and I’ll see you back here Monday!
